Ports America in Taiwan deal

Taiwan’s Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp has announced that Ports America International Holdings Cooperatief, an affiliate of Ports America Group, is to take a 10% stake in its whollyowned Kao Ming Container Terminal (KMCT) at the port of Kaohsiung.

KMCT was set up as a buildoperate-transfer project with the Kaohsiung Harbour Bureau and started operations in January 2011. The terminal has gained rapid support from carriers and handled 1.08M TEU in its first year.
