Logport 2 launched

Not only are all the existing container terminals in Duisburg being enlarged (see last month’s WorldCargo News, p19), but the port has announced that it has acquired the 25-hectare, former Sudamin MHD metalworks site located directly on the Rhine and will redevelop it as Logport 2.The cost is put at €51.1M, with support from both EU and the state of North-Rhine Westphalia.
