The mobile harbour crane (MHC) is already the most flexible quayside crane concept and new applications are still being developed.

Earlier this year Demag Cranes launched the model 2 Gottwald (now Terex Gottwald) MHC. The successor to the HMK 170, the HRK portal harbour crane is the first “Generation 5” small crane and is aimed at smaller terminals in maritime and river ports, and/or ports with finger piers or narrow aprons between the quay wall and dockside warehouses or other superstructures.
