The Kao Ming Container Terminal in Taiwan’s Port of Kaohsiung lost two cranes and suffered damages to another two in Super Typhoon Meranti this month. Kaohsiung is certainly no stranger to typhoons, and it is standard to equip quays and cranes with tie-down equipment.
