Tailwind launch postponed

Lidl, the giant European budget supermarket chain based in Germany, has opted to defer start-up of its new Tailwinds Shipping Lines until Q4 this year, due to prevailing very high prices on the charter market and ongoing supply chain problems caused by the latest Chinese coronavirus lockdown. At the same time, it needs more time to source containers and terminal capacity.
