DSV expands in Copenhagen with new warehouse at Hedehusene

The Management Board of Deutsche Bahn signed an agreement to sell its subsidiary DB Schenker to Danish company DSV for € 14.3 billion.

DSV has won the bid to acquire DB Schenker for €14b, making it the world’s largest freight forwarder, pending DB’s board approval.

The UK are of DS, the Denmark-based global supply chain group, has started to use HVO – a low carbon, low emission, fossil-free fuel –as an alternative to conventional diesel in its fleet of articulated and rigid chassis vehicles based at its site in Immingham, UK.

The Saudi Arabia Red Sea port of NEOM and Denmark-based DSV are establishing a joint venture and investing approximately US$10B in it. The company will be responsible for developing new logistics and integrated cargo processing facilities for the port which is undergoing a massive expansion programme and is set to become one of the country’s largest container handling complexes.

DFDS, which operates one of the most extensive freight and passenger ferry networks in the North Sea, Baltic Sea and eastern Mediterranean regions, is spending approximately €200M to buy Tarifa (Spain)-based FRS Iberia/ Maroc, a leading operator of ferry services across the Gibraltar Strait. FRS operates seven vessels on three services across the Gibraltar Strait, linking Algeciras and Tanger Med, Algeciras and Ceuta, and Tarifa
and Tanger Ville.

Kuehne+Nagel has acquired Morgan Cargo, expanding its perishables network and connectivity for customers to and from South Africa, UK and Kenya.
