Inflatable barges

The Ukrainian Government is liberalising its inland waterway network. The objective is to encourage private investors to upgrade the country’s ageing river fleet and outdated navigational infrastructure while developing new ports and logistics centres.

By the autumn of 2018, at least five fully electric emission-free barges will be operating on inland waterways in Benelux, with the first craft expected to transit the Wilhelmina Canal in the Netherlands.
