Box ship orders reach record levels
According to data recently published by Copenhagen-based BIMCO, a record 3.4M TEU (381 vessels) was contracted in the first eight months of 2021. The total orders backlog of 5.3M TEU was equivalent to about 22% of the fleet in service.
