Carriers adjust transpacific networks

A strong recovery in cargo volumes on the eastbound transpacific trade has led to most carriers reinstating tonnage to near pre-COVID-19 levels and, in some cases, launching ‘extra-loader’ services. According to the Copenhagen-based maritime consultancy company Sea Intelligence, slot capacity deployed on the Asia/North America West Coast trade is more than 13% higher than a year ago.
