Delphis has announced that its newly created subsidiary Delphis Logistics will start offering European door-door services as from the 1 October 2009

Despite its relatively modest facilities, the port of Södertälje continues to grow. The port’s managing director Erik Froste attributes this position to two main factors: the port’s location 30 kms south of Stockholm and close to the E4 and E20 motorways; and its low cost basis, achieved by measured investment and high productivity.

Following an extensive programme of redevelopment and terminal improvements, the Port of Gothenburg believes now is the right time to break into the fast-growing, but fiercely competitive, Baltic transhipment business.

Following the surprise decision by Finnlines to acquire the lo-lo feeder operator Team Lines, it has now disposed of this division to Antwerp-based Delphis for US$51M.
