Crowley starts a new era
EL COQUí, the first of two LNGpowered con-ros for Crowley Maritime’s Jones Act Florida (Jaxport)-Puerto Rico (San Juan) trades, has been launched by Halter Marine. The vessel should enter service in H2 2017, followed by sister ship TAíNO in H1 2018, both replacing triple-deck ro-ro barges and tugs.
