Kalmar inks forklift deal with BlueScope
NewsAustralian steel producer BlueScope has ordered 13 Kalmar forklift trucks for its Western Port steel processing facility.

According to the estimates of Sydney-based freight consultant Chris de Jong* 1 mill TEU of container moves are recorded around the world every day. At a conservative average valuation of cargo and container of US$25,000, this equates to an average daily value of US$25 bill handled worldwide. As global trade increases by 9 per cent a year, that value rises every day by US$2 bill.
