Panama faces canal expansion decision

Martin Torrijos, the son of former dictator Omar Torrijos, has been voted in as Panama’s next president. His presidential term, set to start in September, will be one of the most important in Panama’s recent history, say local experts, as his government will oversee a decision on whether to forge ahead with a billiondollar expansion of the Panama Canal.
