DP World has installed the Zodiac TOS at its fully owned subsidiary Mundra International Container Terminal (MICT) in Gujarat, India.

Despite high levels of volatility and uncertainty over container growth prospects, global terminal operators continue to invest heavily.

Container throughput at China’s northern port of Tianjin rose by 21% to a record 3.36M TEU in the first half of this year. An official at the stateowned operator Tianjin Port Group (TPG) said that at the current rate of growth, the port will hit its target of handling 7M TEU this year.

Ownership of Adelaide’s international container terminal will come under scrutiny if DP World (DPW)’s bid for P&O is successful, observers say.
