DFDS Tor Line has contracted three ro-ro vessels with an option for a further five from the Flensburger shipyard in Germany. Delivery of the first vessel is expected in September 2003.

With an LOA of 200m, the new ships will have a speed of 22 knots and a capacity of 4,000 lane metres, corresponding to 275 x 13.6m trailers. They will be among the largest ro-ro ships in the north European market.
