MSC gets green light as major shareholder in HHLA
NewsHamburg’s city parliament approved MSC’s entry as a major shareholder in HHLA, despite opposition, with final approval pending from the European Commission.
HHLA container throughput down 5.7% in unit terms in Q1-Q3
Throughput was down to 4.869M TEU compared to 5.165M TEU in the first nine months of 2021. At 4.605M TEU, volume at the Hamburg container terminals was down by 2.3% year-on-year; overall Hafen Hamburg container throughput down 2.7% to 6.3M TEU
