Bilbao greening up
The EU will subsidise to the tune of €14.2M a project for the electrification of liner shipping and cruise quays at the Port of Bilbao. Under the port’s BilbOPS programme, an aggregate of 30 MW of shore power (OPS) will be installed, with the aim of reducing ship emissions at berth by 40% as well as reducing noise and vibrations.
