Port of New York/New Jersey tops US container port league

The Port of New York/New Jersey (NY/NJ) handled 843,191 TEU in August 2022, “marking the busiest August in the seaport’s history and placing the port as the number one port in the nation in total containers handled for the month”, the port authority said in a brief announcement.
