Cork handling bigger vessels

For the first time, Liebherr Container Cranes will ship STS container cranes fully erect from Ireland, with the shipment of three cranes in early March from Cork to Puerto Rico. They were manufactured in Killarney in the normal way, but instead of being shipped out from Fenit in pieces for erection on site, they were assembled at Doyle Shipping Group’s Cork Dockyard under the supervision of Liebherr engineers.

Ireland’s Port of Cork Company has lodged a planning application with An Bord Pleanála for the Ringaskiddy Port Redevelopment project in the lower harbour.
