Ships divert as indefinite strike shuts down Montreal’s Termont terminals
NewsPort of Montreal says container ships have started to divert to other ports as an indefinite strike starts at Tremont’s Viau and Maisonneuve terminals.

As elsewhere in Europe, Spain’s ports are caught up in a situation whereby demand has fallen and they are having to step in to help their customers. To mitigate customer impacts, for the duration of the pandemic, gateways have cancelled the usual scale of charges for import container storage.
