Chipolbrok completes second year of contract

News-in-print

Breakbulk and project cargo shipping specialist Chipolbrok has marked the completion of the second year of its contract with C Steinweg Süd-West Terminal in Hamburg by highlighting some of the exceptional loads moved over the facility.

Chipolbrok has worked with C Steinweg in Rotterdam for many years, and, when Buss Hansa Terminal in Hamburg ceased trading, it was natural to turn to C Steinweg in Hamburg. A maximum unit weight of 482t has been handled, and pieces up to 55m-long loaded below deck. Chipolbrok is a leading carrier of rail rolling stock, and the operator also disconnected and loaded a 183m-long rail track building machine. Seaworthy packing is arranged directly at the terminal within sight of ships coming and going.
