‘Sustainable’ wagon workshop for VTG
NewsVTG is investing tens of millions of euros to build a carbon-neutral workshop for the maintenance and repair of its freight wagon fleet.
SGR extension deal…
The governments of Tanzania and Rwanda have signed an agreement on the extension of Tanzania’s new standard gauge railway (SGR) to the Rwandan capital, Kigali. The project should mean that Dar es Salaam will strengthen its position as the port of choice for Rwandan cargo. Financing options will be considered over the next few weeks, with a view to a tender being launched by the middle of this year.
