ICTSI 9M2024 throughput, income increase
NewsICTSI reported a 14% year-on-year revenue increase to US$ 2.01b and a 2% rise in volume to 9.6m TEU for the first nine months of 2024.
Basra expansion deal
ICTSI has signed the deal for the next development phase of Basra Gateway Terminal (BGT) at North Port in Umm Qasr, Iraq. Two new berths (Nos. 25 and 26) will be created, backed by a 20-ha yard area, to double capacity to 1.2M TEU/year. On completion, the contiguous quay will be 600m, with a 50-ha CY. The new berths and cranes will be able to cater for Neo-Panamax tonnage.
