Setúbal looks to rail

Within the ambit of an existing agreement between Setúbal port authority (APSS) and Infrastructure Portugal (IP), studies are underway to improve rail access to the port, the second biggest in Portugal (after Sines) in tonnage terms. In particular, the study will look at ways to remove bottlenecks for freight trains within the port itself and at the Praias-Sado station.
