Grendi boost for Carrara
Italian ro-ro operator Grendi has obtained a 20-year concession to operate part of the Buscaiol quay and associated backlands in the Port of Marina di Carrara. In total, the operating area occupies 3.79-ha, including 4,700 m2 of warehousing and part of the Città di Massa trailer staging area. The facilities were opened several years ago to handle ro-ro traffic, but have been idle since the departure of Sardo Shipping.
