UAE-based DP World is in talks to acquire a majority stake in Continental Warehousing Corp (Nhava Seva) Ltd.

Tecon Salvador, a subsidiary of Wilson Sons, has secured an US$80M loan from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to finance the expansion of the container terminal it operates at the port of Salvador in north east Brazil’s Bahia State.

International Finance Corporation (IFC), part of the World Bank Group, is providing financing for the new container terminal being developed at the Port of Santos by Brasil Terminal Portuario SA (BTP).

Canada-based fund management company Cordiant Capital is providing US$27M towards the cost of developing Cai Lan International Container Terminal (CICT), an International Finance Corporation (IFC)-funded project taking shape at Cai Lan Port in Quang Ninh province in north Vietnam.

Indonesia will start building a new container terminal at Jakarta this year at an estimated cost of US$2.4B to cope with growing volumes at its main Tanjung Priok port.

Exolgan SA, part of International Trade Logistics SA, is set to expand its container terminal in the Dock Sud area of Buenos Aires.The existing facility is the second biggest in the port and handles around 0.5M TEU/year.
