Australia’s port sector continues to be an attractive target for investment, according to the latest Port Operators in Australia industry report from strategic analysts IBISWorld.
Strong growth in the value of total merchandise trade has been the primary driver behind the industry’s solid performance over the past five years. The value of exports has grown faster than that of imports, thanks to the wellchronicled high demand for commodity exports, the report says.
