India’s Chennai Port Trust (CPT) plans to call for new bids for the country’s first deepwater container terminal after rejecting the bid of Mundra Port and Special Economic Zone (MPSEZ) to develop the Rs37B (US$690M) project on the grounds that the revenue share of 5% offered by the company, which was the only bidder, was too low.
