Indonesia will start building a new container terminal at Jakarta this year at an estimated cost of US$2.4B to cope with growing volumes at its main Tanjung Priok port.
“Tanjung Priok is getting congested and if we are not ready within two years, it will be a big problem,” said Richard Lino, a director at state-run port operator Pelindo II.
