VICT reaches 5m TEU
NewsVictoria International Container Terminal, ICTSI’s fully automated container handling facility at the Port of Melbourne, has reached five million TEU.
ICTSI has reported revenue from port operations of US$120.7M in the first quarter of 2010, up by 30% on Q1/2009. EBITDA rose 47% to US$56.6M and, at US$22.8M, net income attributable to equity holders was up by 107%.
ICTSI’s various operations handled 962,028 TEU in Q1/ 2010, an increase of 27% on the corresponding period of last year, “mainly due to the recovery of the global economy, particularly in markets where [our] ports are located,” the company said in a statement.
