EU votes to impose tariffs on Chinese electric cars
NewsEU Member States have voted to impose tariffs on Chinese battery electric vehicles (BEVs) as talks with Beijing continue.
The Chinese government has agreed to help with the construction of a new port at Lamu in Kenya and a new railway from the port to Ethiopia and south Sudan. Perhaps more surprisingly, Beijing has also offered to help fund the development of a new railway line from Mombasa to Nairobi and onward to the Ugandan border.
