The second half of the current year has seen a “mass arrival” of new cranes in Russian and other post-Soviet ports, as orders placed last year before the global crisis struck come to fruition. As an example, the Port of Sillamäe in Estonia started up its container terminal with two cranes and three 1 over 2 straddle carriers in September.
