Port of Piraeus hits all-time high in revenue and profitability

Dockworkers at the Greek port of Piraeus have returned to work following a 17-day strike launched the day after Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis inked a deal granting Cosco Pacific a 35 year concession to develop and operate the port’s container handling facilities.
Unions agreed to suspend the strike until November 2 while the newly elected Socialist government renegotiates the terms of the concession with the Chinese company.
