Hakata C2 set to open

The C2 Container Terminal at Japan’s Hakata port, which will have a 350m berth with a depth alongside of 15m, will be put into operation in the autumn, Fukuoka city’s Port & Harbor Bureau has announced.

The new terminal will be equipped with two ship-to-shore cranes supplied by Japan’s JFE Engineering Corp. With net load rating of 40.6t and an outreach of 50m, the earthquake-resistant cranes will be able to handle containers 18 rows across.
