Geelong gets smart

The Australian port of Geelong has introduced a state-of-the-art SmartDock system at the four-berth Refinery Pier, principally used by Shell Australia. The system, the second to be installed in Australia, will allow ships to dock in all weather conditions, improving safety and commercial efficiency, according to the Victorian Regional Channels Authority (VCRA).
