Privatisation of the Port of Batangas, Phase II, has been put in limbo following a Philippines’ Supreme Court decision ordering a total of Pesos11.3B (US$ 242.8M) in compensation with interest to be paid to 231 landowners whose properties, aggregating almost 130 hectares, were expropriated six years ago to make way for the facility.
