The JadeWeserPort deepsea container terminal project in Wilhelmshaven has taken a step closer to realisation with the State Office for Mining, Energy and Geology in Clausthal-Zellerfeld granting permission to dredge the sand required for construction from the River Jade. The permit allows the dredging of up to 30M m3 to reclaim the 370 hectares needed for the new port.
