APMT wins Maasvlakte 2 concession

APM Terminals has secured the concession for the first Maasvlakte 2 container development in Rotterdam following protracted negotiations with the port. Initially it had applied for the concession of the first terminal, under the port’s Open Assessment Programme, along with six other candidates. Final submissions for this 138 hectare site are due to be handed in by the end of September for evaluation and operator selection awarded by mid 2007.
