Port Kembla gets go-ahead

NSW Planning Minister Frank Sartor has given development consent for the final stage of a A$140M expansion of Port Kembla, designed to make it Australia’s leading car import centre following the shift of vehicle trades from Sydney Harbour. At the same time the Port Kembla Port Corporation has awarded a contract for dredging and construction of the new 290m long, No. 3 berth to the Georgiou Group.
