Westport Malaysia says it has set a new world record for berth productivity in handling a staggering 421 moves in one berth hour, breaking its previous record of 368 achieved in 2003. Other claims to a world record in recent years include Tanjung Pelepas with 340 moves/hour, Qingdao Qianwan with 381 and Waigaoqiao port operator Shanghai Port Container Company with 529 (said to have been achieved with nine cranes).
