Montreal port labour dispute continues with new strike
NewsCUPE 375 has issued a 24-hour strike notice from 7 a.m. Sunday, 27 October, affecting all operations at the Port of Montreal.
Spate of accidents
An unusual number of accidents has been reported over the last few weeks, one of which resulted in the tragic death of a longshoreman in Vancouver, BC. The accident happened at the Vanterm Terminal operated by Terminals Systems, Inc (TSI) where an RTG driver was found dead on the terminal after a meal break.
