Container throughput at China’s southern Guangzhou port jumped 39 per cent to 4.6 mill TEU last year, boosted by a first-year 1 mill TEU contribution from the new deepwater port at Nansha. Overall cargo volumes rose 16 percent to 250 mill tonnes.
