Tilbury’s automated terminal hits the ground running

The capital-intensive (£34 mill by Forth Ports plc) paper terminal for StoraEnso at the Port of Tilbury is now up and running on schedule and within budget. Some elements of the system have been employed previously in paper mills or industrial/ commodity distribution centres, but this is the first time they have been integrated into what is the world’s first fully automated paper import and distribution centre.
