Carbon capture means big gains for modest UK port
NewsA UK engineering consultancy is assessing a multi-billion pound carbon capture and shipping hub project in South West England.
The UK Port of Bristol wants to build a new deespea container terminal capable of handling ships up to 12,000 TEU. The 100-acre facility at Avonmouth would offer 1200m of linear quay with 16m depth alongside on every tide and an approach channel at 15m below chart datum.
