According to a leading Israeli daily, Haaretz, the Israeli government may make a payment of NIS125 mill (€22.12 mill) to Spanish construction firm Dragados to avert a diplomatic row over the Ashdod Jubilee Port project.

Dragados, part of the global ACS group, won a NIS750 mill tender to build the new wharves at Jubilee together with local firm Ashtrom, but the work overran by almost two years and Dragados was fined some NIS65 mill.
