The St Bernard Port, Harbor and Terminal District on the Lower Mississippi River saw a 30 per cent increase in cargo tonnage last year, ending the year with an all-time annual record tonnage of 3,162,000 short tons of cargo, more than a third more than the 2003 figure of 2,422,000.
