Although final figures for 2003 are not yet in, Hong Kong has retained its crown as the world’s busiest container port, with Singapore holding on to second place. Shanghai has claimed the third spot, displacing Pusan, and Shenzhen has overtaken Kaohsiung for the fifth spot.
