Sydney eviction draws high level criticism

New South Wales government plans to end container and general cargo traffic over Sydney Harbour wharves (see WorldCargo News,November 2003, p1) continue to draw criticism, with the Upper House of the State Parliament launching a full-scale inquiry into the government’s Ports Growth Plan (PGP), which will be separate from, and wider-reaching than, the government’s own inquiry into the proposed third Port Botany container terminal.
