Visakha bags Concor deal

New ESP.5 Gottwald MHCs from Konecranes have arrived at Visayas Container Terminal, boosting the facility’s operational capacity.

La Spezia Container Terminal (LSCT), part of the Contship Italia Group, has signed a contract with Italy’s MGMOMG for two new STS cranes.

India’s Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved a project to expand the container terminal at Visakhapatnam port in Andhra Pradesh state.

Konecranes has opened a factory extension in Lingang New City, Shanghai. The production area has been doubled and the target is to increase the number of lift trucks and improve safety and efficiency in assembly.

Visakha Container Terminal (VCT) at the port of Visakhapatnam on India’s east coast has ordered two ship-to-shore cranes and four RTGs from Konecranes as part of its Phase II expansion project.

The US is not the only problem area for DPW. Indian government officials say the company will require the government’s approval before taking over P&O Ports’ container terminal assets in the country. Under the concession agreements signed by private port operators and Port Trusts, any change in equity structure must be approved by the government.
