Kenya’s Inter-Governmental Committee on Shipping (ISCOS), which was set up to improve the performance of the shipping sector and to provide a conduit for private companies to communicate with government, has complained that a range of new charges introduced by shipping agents and lines are making the Port of Mombasa uncompetitive.
